84, 405 Stoney Mountain Dr., Guntersville, AL,
died August 7, 2015, from injuries sustained in an
auto accident.
He was born in Detroit in 1930, served in the Army
for more than 20 years. From January, 1967 to
August, 1967, he was the third commander of the
281st AHC in Nha Trang. After leaving the Army,
he worked in the auto industry, and retired from
Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. In
retirement, he relocated to Alabama where he lived
until his death.
His wife of 39 years, Patsye, and a daughter, Lori
Monia, of Paris, MI survives him. A son, Larry,
preceded him in death.
Allen is buried in the Alabama National Cemetery
in Montevallo, Al.
