More detail on this person: Carl Allen James, 67 Carl Allen James Seattle Times, The (WA) - Sunday, August 9, 2009 Carl Allen JAMES Carl Allen James, age 67, a Seattle Native, died peacefully in his home, after a long battle with Cancer. Carl was the son of Florence Christensen and Robert James, the brother of Anne Christine Ray, and the nephew of James Christiansen. Carl was born on September 8, 1941 in Seattle, WA. He attended Ballard High School and later enlisted in the Army, where he gave over twenty years of service and received three purple hearts. He was a proud member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles and served two tours in Viet Nam before retiring as a Major and returning home to Seattle in 1980. He is the Father of four children, Jennifer Ellen James, Michelle Bryan James, Laura James Lux and Steven Harold James. He is the beloved Grandfather of Sarah Michelle James, Steven Carl James, Michael James Lux and Matthew James Lux. After the death of his wife, Sharon Kay James, Carl remarried and traveled the world with Joanne Mcnamara, his high school prom date. They lived in Sorrento, Italy before finally settling in Napa, California where Carl lived out his remaining years. Please join his family and friends in a celebration of his life on August 23, 2009 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Ed and Katie Robinson, located at 16217 6th Ave. N.W. Shoreline, WA 98177. In lieu of flowers, donations will gratefully be accepted to the Sharon James Memorial fund at Seattle University or the Special Olympics.
