More detail on this person: Hovey James MOUNT CARMEL -- Hovey Ray James, 67, of Henderson, N.C., formerly of Mount Carmel, died Sunday, July 3, 2005, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C. He retired from the Army, had served in Germany, Vietnam and South Korea. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a sister, Gracie Kelsey; and two brothers, Billy Joe and Pet. Services 11 a.m. Saturday at Short Funeral Home, burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time. Hovey Ray James Son of Delbert James and Viola Wicklin. He married Ruth Marie Morris 20 Jan 1961 at the First Baptist Church, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
