More detail on this person: LTC Marc Alexander Jamison Born July 26, 1946 in Tacoma, Washington; died April 7, 2003 in Seattle, Washington. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and very special in the hearts of all who loved him. Marc was a career military officer. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army following graduation from the University of Washington in 1968. He served as a helicopter pilot during combat in Vietnam, as adjunct staff to NATO Command in Europe, Deputy Chief of Staff in Berlin, Germany, and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and commanded the 124th Transportation Battalion in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Karola. Marc was a distinguished officer who worked tirelessly for his country, the success of all men and women under his command, his fellow officers, and the commanders he served. Above all, he loved his family and children. His personal courage, loyalty to those he served and loved, and enduring contributions to his country and children is his living legacy. "A good man obtains favor from the Lord." (Proverbs 12:2). Marc received full Military Honors at a private graveside service on April 13, 2003. His remains rest in peace at the New Tacoma Cemetery, alongside his beloved mother.
