Clynne T., 73 of Richardson, TX, born December 17, 1932 in Idabel, OK was the son of Bill Jones and Miss Lucy. He is survived by Paula, his "bride" of 48 years; son Jason Jones and wife Nancy of Marietta, GA; daughter Jennifer Jones-Molina and husband, Dan of Wasilla, AK and siblings Winn Olliver and husband, Don; William A. Jones, III and wife Billie; and Hal. W. Jones and wife Janet. Clynne T. played football for Oklahoma A&M and graduated in 1954. He began more than 20 years of honorable and brave service as a U.S. Army Aviator. He later worked several years in the restaurant business, and then for Southland Corp. Services will be Monday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Fellowship Church, Richardson. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Trinity Fellowship Church, Union Gospel Mission, Dallas or the Salvation Army Dallas Corps. WOLTERS, TEXAS--The Methods Struction Division of the Army Primary Helicopter School's Flight Evaluation Department, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Clynne T. Jones of Idabel, has been cited for having the outstanding management improvement project at Ft. Wolters for Fiscal Tear 1969. The Wolters "Command Improvement Award" was presented Colonel Jones, center, by Colonel Lloyd G. Huggins, Helicopter Center Commander. At left is Lieutenant Colonel Thomas H. Steward, director of the Flight Evaluation Department. The management improvement project submitted by Colonel Jones called for changes in the MO1 flight training syllabus, which is estimated to result in a first year savings of $205,767. Colonel Jones' mother, Mrs. Lucy Jones, lives at 225 N. Central Ave., Idabel. The colonel is a 1950 graduate of Idabel High school and a 1954 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He entered the Army in September, 1954. Oversea service includes Germany, two tours in Korea and a combat tour in Vietnam. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal for valor and six awards of the Air Medal. He and his wife Paula and two children live at 508 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford, Texas.
