More detail on this person: Bud Jenkins, Jr. Bud Jenkins, Jr., 80, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 12, 1932 in Mountain View, son of the late Bud and Verna Branscum Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was reared and received his early education in Mountain View, graduating from Mountain View High School. He served his country well in the United States Armed Forces. First, he served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the Navy, Mr. Jenkins entered the United States Air Force. He served "faithfully and honorably" in the Air Force until his retirement in 1976 as a Major. After retirement, Mr. Jenkins owned and operated a Shell station on Hazel Street in Pine Bluff for many years. He was a 50 year mason with the Chamberlain Lodge 913 AF&M in Kingsville, Texas. Mr. Jenkins was an avid skeet shooter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Bethea Jenkins of Pine Bluff; two sons, Jay Jenkins and Robert Jenkins, both of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Laura Jenkins of Marshall, Texas; three step-daughters, Debra Waits of White Hall, Gail Heroman of Plano, Texas and Melanie Reed of St. Louis, Missouri; step-son, Jeff Reed of Allen, Texas; brother, Dr. Bobby J. Jenkins of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Robinson's. The family will be at the home of Debra Waits, 1101 McGehee Street in White Hall. Memorials may be made to Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 5130 Bobo Road, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603.
