I am the son of Walter Koop. I discovered a
discrepancy in the medals that that you have
listed for him. To my knowledge, my father did not
receive the Bronze Star. Here is a list of awards
from his final DD 214 dated 19 Sep 1969. Army
Aviator Badge, National Defense Service Medal,
Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal,
Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air medal with
2 Oak Leaf Clusters, 1 O/S Bar.
