More detail on this person: CW3 Keeton was a resident of Newport News, Virginia at the time of his passing.

He returned to Canada to join the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 17. After 3 years of service, he joined the U.S. Army and served until his retirement 20 years later. His U.S. Army service included two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the 101st Airborne and Army Special Forces. He ended his career as a test pilot and test pilot instructor. He received many awards for his service. Among them are the Air Medal with 13 oak leaf clusters and third award V device, Bronze Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross award with two oak leaf clusters.

He is survived by his wife Lynda.

A memorial mass will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 3, 2009 at St Theodore Catholic Church under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Msgn. Charles Dubois will officiate. A gathering of family and friends for a time of remembrance will be from 11:30 until 1:00 pm at the funeral home. According to Patrick's wishes he was cremated and his final resting place will be in Fort Donelson National Cemetery in Dover, TN.
