More detail on this person: BILLY JACK KYSER Dothan AL United States Bill Kyser Bill Kyser died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 69. Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Kyser will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers it was the wishes of Mr. Kyser that donations be made to DAV, P.O. Box 403, Dothan, AL 36302. Mr. Kyser was born in Houston County, AL on December 24, 1940. Mr. Kyser retired from the United States Army where he was a helicopter pilot, where he flew the AH-1G Attack Helicopter. Upon his retirement he worked for the civil service as a flight instructor. He was the past Vice President of the Military Officers Association and a survivor assistance officer. He loved to fish and hunt during his spare time. He also loved to ride his Harley Motorcycle. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he was the past director of Adult 106 Class and the Adult Singles Group. He is preceded in death by his father, Noah Franklin Kyser, and step-mother, Eunola Kyser. Mr. Kyser leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of ten years, Martha Kyser of Dothan; mother, Sarah Dean Eaves of Dothan; daughter, Allison Quinn and her husband Brian of Hopkinsville, KY; sons, Cory Kyser and his wife Tonya of Cleveland, GA, Blake Avant and his fiancé Jennifer Alvarado of Navarre, FL; sisters, Geraldine Scribnuer and her husband Harry of Benton, AR, Sue Thornton and her husband Roy (Mac) of Cottonwood, and Linda, Glenda, Diane and Shannon; brothers, Terry and Jerry Kyser; grandchildren, Jacob Noah Kyser, Alex Osborn, Melinda Mims, Phillip Quinn, Hunter Quinn; and several nieces and nephews. Ward Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematory, (334) 792-4194, is in charge of arrangements.
