More detail on this person: KORN Richard Alan "Rick" Korn KORN Richard Alan "Rick" Korn, 58, of Lockbourne, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at University Hospital of Cleveland from complications during a liver transplant. Rick was born in Cleveland on September 25, 1947 to parents K.T. Korn and Gladys Stern-Korn. Rick was a distinguished Captain of the U.S. Army, flying helicopters in two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Rick was the founder and owner of Richard Alan and Associates specializing in medical and diagnostic equipment. He was known by his friends for his big heart and compassionate nature. An avid boater, Rick and his family most enjoyed spending time in their home in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Rick leaves behind his heartbroken wife and daughter, Patty and Kaci; sister, Talia Gerstein; and mother-in-law, Leafy Perkins. Rick was preceded in death by his loving father-in-law Charles E. Perkins. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 2nd at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, Ohio with Rick's friends and family officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon with military graveside services by American Legion Merritt Post 142, Waverly. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home on Saturday July 1st from 4-8 p.m. and from 12Noon until the service hour on Sunday.
