More detail on this person: Robert L. Kemble McALLEN - Robert L. Kemble, 37, son of Mrs. Mary Kemble of McAllen, a Marine Corps pilot who participated in the rescue of Astronaut John Glenn on his Mercury space flight, died in Santa Ana, Calif. Kemple was a graduate of McAllen High School and attended the University of Texas. He was a member of the McAllen Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his mother; four sons, Robert, Mitchell, Reith and Scott Kemble, all of Santa Ana; and a brother, Joe Kemble of Houston. Funeral services will be announced by Kreidler Funeral Home.
