his unit's destination was Vietnam until they
reached the Philippines. His unit departed Fort
Devins, MA on 6 December 1961 and they traveled

LARRY KENT KERBS passed away May 25,2011
at his home. He was bom in Hoisington, KS, March
22, 1937 to Emanuel and Mattie Kerlcs. He
attended
schools in Hoisington, Kansas City, MO, and
graduated with a BS in lndustrial Engineering from
the University of Kansas. He served proudly as a
1st Lt. Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Larry
completed advanced studies in Engineering and
Business at UCLA and Pepperdine University.
During the course of his career, he worked for
NASA, Mattel, Hasbro, Brunswick Corp, and The
Franklin Mint, with manyyears spent in Asia, and
later, as a successful owner of McMurray Uniform
Rental. A craftsman at heart, Larry was known br
his assiduous work on his many projects and
hobbies. He is beloved by his family for his
support, wisdom, and generosity in all things. He
is suMved by his wife, Ann, with whom he shared
50 years of marriage. He is also survived by his
son, Kent Kerbs; his daughter, Karin Stone; a
daughter-in-law, Carol Sudbeck, three
granddaughters, Destiny Stone, Hiley Kerbs, and
Reyan Kerbs, and a brother, Wayne Kerlcs (Pat). A
Memorial seMce will be held at Pacilic View
Memorial Park, Newport Beach, June 10 at 2:00
pm. ln lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Waldorf School of Orange County.
