More detail on this person: John Robert Logan John Robert Logan, 78, of Cape Coral died Thursday, December 7, 2006 in Cape Coral. He was born to the late John F. and Alice Logan on November 26, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era discharged high decorative Officer with four Purple Hearts, Distinguished Flying Cross. Moving to Cape Coral in 1989 from Philadelphia he was a member of the VFW 8463 and Past Commander twice, the American Legion Post 90, Masonic order and shrines. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VFW 8463, 4709 SE 11th Place, Cape Coral, FL 33904. He was preceded in death by his brother, W. Robert, sisters, Alice and Kathleen. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Patricia; son John J. Logan and wife Cheryl both of Cape Coral; sisters, Mary, Patsy, Theresa, and Mary Ann all of Philadelphia, PA; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Connor and Ryan. The VFW Post was John's second family and home. John will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service with VFW Post 8463 Honors will be conducted on Monday December 11, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at The Metz Funeral Chapel, 1306 Lafayette Street. Family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday. Final place of rest with full military honors will be conducted in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial service will also be conducted at the VFW Post 8463 at a later date.
