July 25, 1997 Richard Louderback, 62, Army chief warrant officer Richard Louderback, a retired Army chief warrant officer, died of cancer Saturday at his home in Severn. He was 62. Mr. Louderback enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1953 and transferred to the Army a decade later. During his years in the service, he completed two tours in Vietnam, where he earned several awards and decorations for meritorious service. He retired in 1973 and moved to Severn in 1981. Mr. Louderback was born in Lafayette, Ind., and graduated from high school in nearby Reynolds, Ind. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 160, American Legion Post No. 276 and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, all in Severn.
