More detail on this person: Mr Robert Or Bob Donald Lovering, 71 Obituaries Capital, The (Annapolis, MD) - Sunday, February 22, 2004 Robert ''Bob'' Donald Lovering, 71, a 26-year resident of Annapolis and formerly of Fort Washington, died of a heart attack Feb. 20 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born April 10, 1932, in Lawrence, Mass., Mr. Lovering served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1950 to 1958 and in the Army from 1958 to 1972. He retired at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was an Army helicopter pilot who served two tours in Vietnam and in Germany and received two bronze stars. Following his military career, he worked for Omni Jet Aircraft as vice president and chief engineer, founded Easton Jet Service and was owner of Logaire Inc. An avid pilot, he was a member of a number of local flying and amateur radio clubs. He was also a member of the Quiet Birdmen and had recently received an extra rating in the ham radio field. Among his interests were radio-controlled models, sailing, ham radio and golf. He was the father of the late Pamela Lovering. Surviving are his wife, Auriol Lovering, whom he married June 12, 1993; one son, Kenneth Lovering of West Virginia; one brother, William Lovering of Roanoke, Va.; three sisters, Joan Maynard of Salem, N.H., Barbara Perl of Ozark, Mo., and Sandra Ingalls of New Hampshire; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester in Annapolis, where funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be made to American Heart Association, 411 Fairview Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620 or American Diabetes Association, 3120 Timanus Lane, Suite 106, Baltimore, MD 21224.
