More detail on this person: I am Gil Lahlum, Phil's younger brother. Phil died in June of 1976.

He was a Marine Corps. Captain, and he died when the F4 Phantom fighter he was flying suffered a catastrophic failure and crashed while conducting maneuvers with two Air Force fighters off the coast, near MCAS El Toro. I just wanted to tell you that he died with his boots on, serving the Corps that he loved so well. He was a great guy, is sorely missed, and we are very proud of him.
