More detail on this person: DONNIE LEVERTON DONNIE LEVERTON Peoria Journal Star, The (IL) - Sunday, November 30, 1997 PEORIA -- Donnie Ray Leverton, 57, of 602 Aldine Bender, Houston, formerly of Peoria, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at Northwest Medical Center in Houston. Born Aug. 28, 1940, in Mount Sterling to Samuel and Jessie Thomas Leverton, he married Mary Grace Phillips. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Pamela Leverton of Peoria; one son, Daniel of Tulsa, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Judy Allen of Conroe, Texas; five sisters, Bonnie Reiter of Marquette Heights, Grace Eggers, Carolyn Stone and Mrs. Donald (Dollie) Delicath, all of Peoria, and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Moreland of Morton; one brother, Warren of Mount Sterling; four grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served two tours of duty as a helicopter pilot. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was an aircraft mechanic for Continental Air Express. He was a Mason. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas, where visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Houston National Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded.
