More detail on this person: I am John's son.
My father was promoted many times before he died,
and I believe his rank at the time of his death
was WO5 and he was inactive reserve. My father
loved flying and did so untill he no longer passed
the flight physical in 1993. His experience in
Viet Nam shaped who he was, and I would love to
correspond with anyone who knew him there. This information was last updated 05/18/2016

As for my father's war era history, I know very
little. I know that he was there in the early
70's as I was born in 1969, and he was in flight
school at the time. I know that he did some kind
of radio surveillance work and was part of the
"Army Security Agency." I was under the
impression that he flew helicopters and fixed wing
aircraft. The one picture I have of him there is
standing by a twin engine plane, Beechcraft I
think, and it had antennas all over the wings and
tail. I know the team name of "Ghost Riders"
because of a cup he had in his office. I also
know that he worked with a master sergeant
VanDyke, because he was one of my instructors at
school. Other than that its all a mystery, and
cloaked in what I am told is classified stuff.
My dad flew civilian helicopters for the rest of
his career, from Africa to the middle east,
usually for the oil companies. He loved to fly,
it was his life, and he loved adventure. I think
that NOT passing the flight physical is what
killed him ultimately.
