More detail on this person: Hartwell Howell Morris, Jr Mr. Hartwell Howell Morris Jr., 59, beloved husband of Mrs. Jean Lewis Morris of Lawrenceville, Georgia, entered into rest Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at the Emory East Side Hospital, Snellville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2003, at Platt's Belair Road Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mr. Morris was a native of Augusta. He resided in Lawrenceville and was a member of the Snellville United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. He was an U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Morris was the State Director of the Veterans Employment and Training Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. During his service to our country he was awarded the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with a Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Aviation Badge, the Air medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Also surviving are one son, Frederick Lewis Morris, Lawrenceville; one daughter, Jennifer M. Lee, Bluffton, S.C ; one brother, Charles Gerald Morris, Martinez, one sister, Rebecca Clark, Martinez; and two grandchildren. Alison Jean Lee and Andrew Joseph Lee. Pallbearers will be Hartie Cliatt, Casey Joe Cliatt, Charlie Morris, Chris Morris, Kevin Ervin and Michael Adams.
