More detail on this person: I am not certain what caused John's death. It was probably either a heart attack or heart arrythmia. He had a heart catherization a couple of days before, and they were also adjusting his medications. He died at home in the night.

John and I had gone to grade school and high school together and then did not see each other for 35 years. We got together at a school reunion in 2006. It was like we were 17 again. We had so much fun in the time we were together. He had been a banker in Colorado after he got back from Vietnam and his bank was a beta site for one of the first ATM machines. He was retired for quite some time. I am affiliated with Raymond James (a superregional bank with headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL), so he was very interested in what was new in banking. Also, a prospective client of mine was trying to get a "personal helicopter" manufacturing facility up and running. John was very interested in that, worked on the financing and even hovered one of the helicopters.

I have a great photo of him from the McConnell Open House in 2006 sitting in the pilot's seat of one of the planes he used to fly. Also have a good photo of him in one of the personal helicopters.
