Meitin Birth Date: Oct 15th, 1941 Death Date: M ar 26th, 2009 Timothy was born to Candido D. and Martha Meitin on Oct 15, 1941 in St. Augustine, FL, where he graduated from Ketterlinus High School and attended The Citadel in NC. Tim married Judith Katherine Burns July 9, 1971 in Fort Bliss, Texas. Captain Meitin served in the United States Army beginning in 1967. He was injured during his first tour of duty in Vietnam and served his second tour as a helicopter pilot. Tim earned numerous awards and medals including the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Bronze Stars and Distinguished Flying Cross, just to name a few. Tim has been a resident of Lubbock since 1983. He was employed as sales person for various paper companies from 1974 until retiring in 2003 due to illness. He is survived by his spouse, Judy Meitin of Lubbock; children, Connie Harris and spouse, Brian of Parker, CO, Patrick Meitin and spouse, Gwyn of Kendrick, ID, Kristin Dickerson and spouse, Clint of San Antonio, TX, Lara Hodgson and spouse, Gary of Atlanta, GA; one grandchild, Taylor Newman; beloved brother, C. D. Meitin, Jr. and spouse, Joyce of Temple Terrace, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
