65, of Oakwood Drive, Cartersville, died January
26, 2012.
Mr. Milliken was born April 29, 1946 in
Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late James Lee
Milliken and Mary E. Pasterjak Milliken.
He was of the Episcopalian Faith and an Army
veteran of the Viet Nam War. During the war Mr.
Milliken was a flight instructor and Cobra pilot.
While in the service Mr. Milliken was awarded the
Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service
Medal and the Bronze Star. He was discharged as
a Chief Warrant Officer. A four year resident of
Cartersville, he was a published author, having
written "Mallory's Quilt" and had a great love for
golf, college football and his family.
Survivors include his children, Heather Dunn, of
Columbus, Ohio, Ben Milliken, of Cartersville,
Drew Milliken, of Huntersville, North Carolina, a
sister, Christine Leigh, of Marietta, and 5
grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon
Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from the Georgia
National Cemetery with Rev. Mary Erickson
officiating with full military rites observed.
The family will receive friends at the funeral
home Wednesday from 9:30 till 11:00 A.M. In lieu
of flowers contributions may be made to the Army
Aviation Heritage Foundation, 506 Speedway B lvd.,
Hampton, Georgia 30228.
