More detail on this person: I would like to report the death of my friend Evarice C. Mire III on October 23, 2016. He was from class of WORWAC 70-03/05 _a Potential Member. Address: 3202 Lakehaven Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339 He flew cobras in B Btry, 2/20 ARA, 1st Cav Div "Blue Max" in Vietnam July 70-June 71. His unit joined operations north during Lam Son 719.

He is buried in the Houston National Cemetery.

He was my roommate for the last months of training at Ft. Rucker. We had been close friends since. His wife asked me to report his death to VHPA. It seems she is not going to write an obituary. I would write a brief one if it had any historical significant to VHPA record keeping. Otherwise, the facts are above.

I know The VHPA Aviator only publishes obituaries of current membership. What I don't know is if there would be any value in me spending a few minutes writing a brief obituary for the record on Ev and his life.

Of interest: Dave Adams and Ev Mire were long time friends from 70-03/05 who got to know each other as they were assigned to Cobra transition enroute Vietnam. In the summer of 2015 Dave with his wife Linda made a trip to Ev's house in Kingwood, TX north of Houston to visit with Ev and three of us Army friends a few weeks before Dave died.

Thanks to VHPA we can all keep track of our friends and find them when we lose track!
