More detail on this person: William D. Macey age: 74 retired as LTC from KS ARNG. Served as civil service technician within the KS ARNG aviation program. Retired as GS 13 aircraft pilot supvr and as a LTC in the ARNG in 1986.

Survived by his wife Barbara Macey of the home. Four daughters, 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren all of Topeka, KS. Survived by one brother and one sister of Topeka, KS.

Bill Macey was one of 4500 KS ARNG soldiers placed on 24 months active duty in 1968 in support of the Vietnam War. I do not know of his awards. He was a master army aviator, dual rated. He was a military flight instructor, aviation maintenance officer and aviation safety officer. To the best of my knowledge he never had a chargeable class A, B, or C accident.
