More detail on this person: Robert L. McFarland KILLEEN -- Services for Robert Louis McFarland, 58, of Killeen will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with the Rev. Robert Swalve Jr. and Chaplain William Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Killeen City Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. McFarland died Saturday, Sept. 11, in Killeen. He was born in Denver to Robert G. McFarland and Alileen McFarland. He was reared and educated in Colorado. He married Lynn McFarland on April 16, 2003. He was employed with Conquest Air Lines. Including his military time, he was an active pilot for more than 36 years, flying rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircrafts. He was a retired U.S. Army CW4 with more than 20 years of service. His military awards include Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Medal with V Device, Numeral 9; Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster; Army Achievement Medal; Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars; Armed Forces Reserve Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and Master Army Aviator Badge. His military education includes Warrant Officer Rotary Wing Aviator Course, 16 weeks (1969); Fixed Wing Multi-Engine Qualification Course, 12 weeks (1972); Utility Helicopter Instructor Pilot Course (UH-1), four weeks (1973); Rotary Wing Instructor Flight Examiner Course, six weeks (1978); and Fixed Wing Multi-Engine Instructor Pilot Course, seven weeks (1987). Survivors are his wife of Killeen; a son, Brett McFarland of Killeen; three daughters, Wendy McFarland of Killeen, Shauna Ward of Corpus Christi and Crystal Bihl of Austin; his mother of Fruita, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
