More detail on this person: John Stephen Moore, age 67, passed away June 3, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on November 8, 1949 to Paul & Jeanne Moore in Syracuse, NY. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. John was a Commercial Pilot with Instrument and Flight Instructor Rating before joining the Army in 1970 serving his County honorably. As a Chief Warrant Officer 2 with the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell Kentucky he flew the CH47 Chinook helicopter with tours in Vietnam and Korea. After leaving the service he continued his education receiving a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology moving on to be the Senior Photo Engineer at Sony until retiring in 2001. With his family he enjoyed motorcycles, Radio Control Aircraft, astronomy, mathematics and music. He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter, two granddaughters, one sister, other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SA Patriots Guard Riders.
