A graduate of Inglewood High School and California State University Long Beach, James served with the U.S. Army for 13 years, including tours in Vietnam as helicopter pilot with the 101st Airborne, and as an advisor with the Four Party Joint Military Commission.James is survived by his three children: daughter, Victoria (Mark) Jenkins; and sons, James Jr. (Rebecca) and Ross; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Kathleen, Julian, Hiliary, Natalie and Alex; also survived by his mother, Shirley; brother, John (Leslie); three nieces; and one nephew.Private graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
