More detail on this person: Boyd Franklin Matthews Grenada - Boyd Franklin Matthews, 75, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at his residence in Grenada. He was born September 27, 1938 in Hollandale, MS to Lloyd and Inez Matthews. He was a Chief Engineer working on commercial tug boats. He attended New Life Fellowship Church in Oakland, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, September 5 from 6-8 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at New Life Fellowship Church. Interment will be at County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan, MS at 3 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sue Catherine Core; and brother Henry Matthews. He is survived by his daughters Frankie Fortier of Grenada and Jennie Boswell of Hernando; and sisters Grace Meadows Ackle (Ed) of Byram and Betty Parker (Zane) of Avon.
