More detail on this person: Curtis Allen McVey Sr., age 84 of Troy died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his home. Funeral services for Curtis McVey will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Christian Home Church of Christ, Newton, Alabama. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. There will be an hour lie in state prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Edward and Elsie Wiley McVey, his sister, Deloris Slaughter and his brothers, William McVey, Charles McVey and Joseph McVey. Serving as pallbearers will be James Sims, Ernie May, Dalton Sanders, Cole Sanders, Michael Warren and Chandler Warren.
