More detail on this person: Obituary for William W. Miller WILLIAM W. MILLER William W. Miller, 71, of Newnan, GA passed away peacefully with family members at his side Sept 3, 2008. He was born August 11, 1937 in Painted Desert, AZ. After graduating from Phoenix Technical High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Army. During his 21 year career, he was part of the elite Special Forces, an infantry officer and an honored Army Aviator, flying both fixed and rotary wing aircraft during three tours of duty in Vietnam. After a distinguished military career, Bill worked as a flight instructor teaching many students from all around the world. He spent the last 18 years with the Federal Aviation Administration as a General Aviation Safety Inspector in Philadelphia, Harrisburg and most recently at the Southern Regional Office in Atlanta, GA. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Newnan. He was preceded in death by his son Wesley and is survived by his loving wife, Virginia of Newnan, GA, daughter Susan Crutchfield of Tallahassee, FL, daughter Jerri Blackstock of Ozark, AL, daughter Gail Pickett of Dothan, AL, and son Dwayne Miller of Lawrenceville, GA step-daughter Susan O'Brien of Williamston, MI and step-son Robert Beeton of Ft Walton Beach, FL. Bill will be remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name William W Miller at the Gideon Foundation Bible Fund. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 12:00 Pm to 1:45 Pm at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, Ga. The services will follow at First United Methodist Church of Newnan at 2:00 PM with Dr. Med Roach officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 1:15 PM in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL. McKoon Funeral Home
