More detail on this person: June 11, 1939 - June 24, 2008 HAMPTON - Allison Fields Morison Jr., 69, went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2008. A native of Charleston, W.Va., he had been a Hampton resident since 1975 where he was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He was also an active member of the Elizabeth Lake Homeowners Association and served as past President and civic affairs chair. Mr. Morison entered the Army in September of 1962, during his career he served as an armored officer and pilot until June of 1980 with tours of duty in Germany and Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star with two Oak Leaf Clusters, 14 Air Medals, Purple Heart and numerous ribbons. Survivors include his wife, Janice P. Morison; two daughters, Michelle Melisa Morison of Norfolk and Melanie Renee Reno and her husband, David, of St. Augustine, Fla.; a stepson, Justin Davis Denlinger of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and a brother, Larry S. Morison and his wife, Paulette, of Houston, Texas. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeff L. Cannon. Entombment with military honors will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately preceding the funeral beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 99 E. Mercury Blvd., Hampton, VA 23669, or Johns Hopkins University, Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 401 N. Broadway, Suite 1440, Weinberg Building, Baltimore, MD 21231, Attn: Lanie Tipton.
