More detail on this person: Marvin E Raleigh Morris, 68 Death Notices (Part One) News & Observer, The (Raleigh, NC) - Tuesday, May 5, 1998 - Marvin Eugene Morris, 68, 3308 Glen Henry Drive, died May 2, 1998 at Rex Hospital. A native of Arkansas, he had lived for many years in Lawndale, California and more recently in Colorado Springs, CO; before coming to live in Raleigh. Mr. Morris had a career in the U.S. Army as a pilot, retiring with the rank of Major. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. After leaving the Army, he worked in the air freight business. Surviving are his daughter, Theresa L. Morris of Raleigh, son, Stephen E. Morris and wife Barbara of Ojai, California; son, Richard A. Morris and wife, Valerie of Rennes, France; and grandchildren Marie-Anne and Jonathan Morris, of Rennes, France. A memorial service will be held at a future date in California. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Josiah's Chest Ministry of Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612. Arrangements by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary's Street, Raleigh.
