Mullenix, age 73, of Exton, Pennsylvania passed
away February 21, 2017 at his home.
Born June 13, 1943 in Barksdale Field, Louisiana
located in the Parish of Bossier, he was born to
the late CPL Earl Mullenix and Vera Patarini
Mullenix.
Mr. Mullenix served in the United States Air Force
for 21 years from 1966 through 1987, retiring as a
Major. He served as a HH-3 (a.k.a. Jolly Green
Giant) Helicopter Pilot during the Vietnam War.
After his career with the Air Force, he moved on
using his expertise to become part of the Boeing
Family. His main career focus was with the
development and launch of the V-22 program.
During this time, he served countless hours as a
volunteer with the National organization, PAWS for
People. He and his wife Kate opened their home to
many dogs for foster care, training them to become
service dogs. In his down time, he had a passion
for cooking, and enjoyed singing in the local
Choral Society.
Mr. Mulllenix is survied by his wife, Kate
Jackson; his son Brennen David Mullenix and wife;
his daughter Malia Lystlund Meadows and husband;
and his sister, Barbara Lapcevic and husband. Also
to mention their dogs, Ariel, Zeke, and their late
J-J.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors is being
planned for June 13th at Washington Crossing
National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania, time
to be determined. Please refer to the funeral
