From: Don Joyce

Bill Maddox died at 10:00 last night. Young Bill called me this morning and said a neighbor of Bill had called him last night saying that he had found Bill at home; he had taken a fall and suffered a head injury. The neighbor had called an ambulance to take Bill to the hospital. Young Bill met them at the hospital. His dad was conscious but incoherent. Shortly after arrival at the hospital he went into convulsions and died. He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery as soon as that can be arranged.

I talked to Bill on the phone last week. His mind was as sharp as ever and his mood seemed good. He said he was still weak but had no major complaint. The doctors have not given a cause of death.

Young Bill asked me to notify Bill's military friends. I think most of them are on your e-mail nets.
