More detail on this person: Mr Allen P Al Mauldin, 60 Area deaths Daily Home, The (Talladega, AL) - Wednesday, March 1, 2000 OLYMPIA, Wash. - Graveside service with military honors for LTC. (Ret.) Allen P. (Al) Mauldin, 60, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Main Post Cemetery in Ft. Benning, Ga. Mr. Mauldin died Feb. 22. He was born June 21, 1939, in DeKalb County. He retired from the United States Army in 1989. His services included three tours in Vietnam as an Army aviator and he was awarded many decorations and medals. He was proud to have played football under coach Paul "Bear" Bryant when attending college at the University of Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sally Mauldin; one daughter, Nancy Gervasi of Encinitas, Calif.; two sons, Daniel Mauldin of Covington, Calif., and Donald Mauldin of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Carolyn Holliday of St. Louis, Mo., and Joan Boozer of Longboat Key, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
