More detail on this person: NAGEL, Herbert W., 67 of Brandon, died on May 19, 2016. Herb was born in Germany, raised in New York City, and Brandon was his home for the past 30 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Herb proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association. He retired from the FAA after 19 years as an Air Traffic Controller. An avid sports fan, Herb enjoyed watching the Bucs, Rays and Lightning. He is survived by his wife Cathy, son, Jonathan (Katie), sister, Heide Moe, grandchildren, Jonathan "JT" and Abby, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, 6400 East Chelsea Road, Tampa, Florida 33610 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Limona Cemetery, located at the intersection of Lakewood Ave. and Limona Road in Brandon, Florida 33510. It is the family's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Help of Christians Summer Camp, 6400 East Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida 33610.
