More detail on this person: Gary Michael Newman formerly of Wood Dale, IL died on July 14, 2016 at the Illinois Veterans' Home in Manteno, IL. He was the beloved husband of Claudia. Gary was the son of Robert and Eleanor Newman. Gary is survived by his wife Claudia and son David (Paula) and Grandchildren Margaret, Abraham, Dorothy, Henry, Sylvia, Walter, Veronica and Theodore, his mother Eleanor and brother Robert. Gary was the President and CEO of the First Security Bank of Wood Dale until retiring. During the Vietnam War he served his country as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, sister Janet George (Matt), and son Frank. Gary will be honored at the Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, Elwood, IL at 11:30am on Monday, July 18. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be sent to the Illinois Veterans' Home, One Veterans' Drive, Manteno, IL. 60950
