McALLEN - Timothy Michael Nicolls Sr., 71, born December 8, 1937 passed away August 26, 2009 at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Jackie Nicolls of McAllen, children Debbie (Frank) Smith of Dallas, Texas, Timothy Michael (Priscilla) Nicolls Jr. of Raymondville, Texas, Amy Nicolls of Edinburg, Texas, 8 grandchildren and not part of his immediate family, but what he considered his family, all the staff and Board of Directors of Sharyland Water Supply Corporation. Timothy served 21 years in the U.S. Army. He retired as a warrant officer. He toured twice in Vietnam, received the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal with V device, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Master Army Aviator Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Timothy moved to McAllen in 1980 and began a second career with Sharyland Water Supply Corporation, where at the time of his death he held the position of General Manager. He will always be remembered for his love of the Dallas Cowboys, the game of golf and playing party poker on his computer. Funeral service will be held today, August 31, 2009 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
