Nedwed, Jr., 62, of Bastrop, Texas, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, in a San Antonio hospital. He was born March 27, 1942, to Eugene Sr. and Frances (Woodburn) Nedwed in Westmoreland. He was a captain in the U.S. Army and served a tour in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. He was a native of Manhattan and lived in Texas for more than 35 years. His family said he loved spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling them on summer vacations. He also enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and recently became interested in motorcycles. He rode frequently with friends touring small Texas town and churches. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents; lifetime partner Lynda Schroeder; son Joseph Nedwed of Dallas; daughters, Tiffany Nedwed of Phoenix, and Bridget Vess and husband Perry of Hendersonville, N.C.; sisters Jan Fishburn and husband Casey of Muskogee, Okla., and Jill Duer and husband Steve of Spring Hill, Kan.; eight grandchildren and many great friends.
