More detail on this person: WILLIAM "BILL" JOHN NEVINS, JR WILLIAM "BILL" JOHN NEVINS, JR, age 68, of Manassas, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Nevins is the son of the late William and Susan Nevins and was preceded in death by a sister Nanette Nevins. Mr. Nevins was a retired Major in the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1957 until 1979. He served two tours in Vietnam. He was executive officer of several squadrons and stationed at Quantico, VA in HMX1. He was Commanding Officer of Squadron 362 at New River Air Station, Jacksonville, NC. His last tour of duty was at the Pentagon. After his retirement from the Marine Corps, he was a realtor in Prince William County. He is survived by his wife, Olivia Edmundson Nevins, three daughters, Susan Hill and her husband Ron of North Branch, MN, Donna Nevins of Jersey City, NJ, Dianne Nevins of Boone, NC, and one sister Maureen Gough of Watertown, NY. Also surviving is one grandson Christian Reye Nevins of Boone, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held at 12:15 P.M., Thursday, May 13, 2004. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Heartland, Home, and Hospice Care Service, 3900 Jermantown Rd., Suite 460, Fairfax, VA
