More detail on this person: Owen, Kenneth Maurice Born in Giscome BC Canada August 6, 1936. Died in Sun City AZ April 3, 2017. He was educated in Vancouver and spent 30 plus years as a US Army pilot. He had 3 tours in Vietnam flying Chinook and Huey helicopters to the front line. He also saw action in Desert Storm. He retired from Military service with the rank of Major. Ken was a Mason, a member of Scottish Rite and of Amaranth where he was known as the 'Can Man' as he recycled Cans for money for Diabetes Research with ADF. He was an artist and an accomplished golfer. He worked at Sun Dial Rec. Center in Sun City until his death. He is survived by his wife Iris, his Daughter Laura and Son-In-Law Jason Meader and Grand Daughter Caroline 2 yrs old. Also 2 step children Cherie (Fjermedal) and William Barnhart; brothers Jim and Jack Owen living in Victoria, Canada and his Sister-in-Law Betty and Husband Floyd Gentis; also several Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday April 30th at Sun City Lodge #72 at 1:00pm. Address is 18810 N 107th Ave Sun City 85372.
