More detail on this person: PARKER, William Joseph "Bill", 62 of Manchester, Tennessee died Saturday, May 26, 2001 at the Alvin C. York VAMC. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana he was the son of the late W.O. Parker and Daisey Etta Cunningham Parker. He was a retired Captain of the United States Army and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a combat wounded veteran having served from 1957-1970. He was the Standardization Instructor Pilot and Test Pilot for the AH1 Attack Helicopter (Cobra). He had served as the Executive Director for the Disabled American Veterans. His awards and decorations are as follows: Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Purple heart, Army Commodation Medal, Good Conduct Ribbon, National Defense, Army Reserve Medal, Vietnam Service Ribbon, The Vietnam Medal/4 Battle Stars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry/Gold Palm, Presidential Unit Citation, Presidential Unit Citation for Valor, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Aviation Wings, Airborne Wings and Ranger Tab. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Baker Parker, Manchester; children, Sheri Hammons, Manchester, Dena Lowe, Lebanon, Tennessee, William J. Parker, Jr., McMinnville, Tennessee, Glen H. Marlow, Jr., Estill Springs, Tennessee, Nancy Vickers, Manchester, Debbie Marlow, Manchester, Jimmy D. Marlow, Bonifay, Florida; grandchildren, Curtis Vickers, Christy Vickers, Autum Fly, April Fly, Jennie Lowe, Chaz Lowe, Carla Marlow, Joshua Marlow, Adam Marlow, Ashley Hammons; great-grandchildren, Brooklin McBride, Mykala Ranson, Hunter Cheyene Fly Hill, Sydeny Marlow; sister, Naomi Peddigo, Morrison, Tennessee and special friends, James D.
