More detail on this person: Charles "Skip" Peters Charles "Skip" Peters Contra Costa Times (Walnut Creek, CA) - Saturday, May 8, 2004 March 2, 1949 - April 24, 2004 "Sail Away" Passed away peacefully at his home in Livermore. Skip worked at the Livermore National Lab for 29 years. His passion was his sailboat. After many years working on it, he had planned to retire on the boat to British Columbia. Skip divided his time between his boat in Alameda and his home in Livermore. He served with honor in the U.S. Army as a Medic-Vac helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Although always busy with big projects of his own, Skip would never hesitate to drop whatever he was doing to help a friend or family member in need. He is survived by his mother, Helois Nilson, father, Art Peters, sister, Lynn Misztal, brother, Scott Peters, sister-in-law, Debra Peters, nieces, Teddi Anne and Lexi, many other family members and all his dear friends through life. "His memory will be carried in our Hearts." In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts may be made in his memory to Shepherd's Gate, 1660 Portola Ave. Livermore, Ca. 94551.
