More detail on this person: Allan Charles Parker, 73, died Monday, September 1, 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky with his family at his side. He was born August 4, 1941 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Henry Weston and Beatrice Mae (Thayer) Parker. Allan retired in 2003 after thirty-one years with Bell South (now AT&T) Communications in Louisville. Allan proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart. Allan loved his wife, girls, grandchildren, and family. He cherished his life with his family and will always be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marie T. Felten Parker; daughters, Elizabeth Daugherty and husband Robert of Crestwood, Kentucky, Dr. Katherine Reyes and husband Virgil of Fresno, California, Victoria Gutwein and husband Philip of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, William, Greta, Ingrid, Anna, Miles, Benjamin, Allison and Isabella; mother, Beatrice Mae (Thayer) Parker; sister, Judith Linehan and husband Thomas.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until 6:00 pm Sunday September 7th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday September 8th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church New Albany with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany with Military Honors.

Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany.
