Pound, Jr., 68, of Pomona, passed away September 13, 2005 at Loma Linda VA Hospital. He was born October 14, 1936 in Ithica, New York and was a resident of West Covina before moving to Pomona in 1990. Mr. Pound served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vie tnam War, retiring after 20 years of service as Chief Warrant Officer 2. After his retirement from Army he was a Special Program Assistant for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 3 years. Mr. Pound is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pound; sons, Robert E. Pound III of Edmund, OK., Craig Pound of Pomona and Romann Pound of Virginia Beach, VA.; daughters, Ronderlyn Pound of Pomona, Renee Lewis of Norcross, GA. and Yevette Johnson of Pomona. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Amber Pound, Brian Gause, Dorian Pound, Jasmine Armstrong, Alexander Johnson, Norman Johnson, Aaliyah Pound, Mitchell Pound, Jessica Pound, Autumn Lewis, Heather Lewis, Kalyssa Pound, Romann Pound Jr., Robert Miles Pound, Rajah Pound, Tari Lewis and Makenna Pound. Services were held September 19, 2005 at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, California. Interment will be made private at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, California. Todd Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
