More detail on this person: Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (GA) - October 18, 2009 - Ret. CW4 Harry P. Parr, 80, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Father Edward Ohm officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, October 19, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. Mr. Parr was born December 9, 1928 in Westwego, LA; son of the late Joseph Parr and Leonaise Boudreax Parr. He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He had a distinguished career in U.S. Army Aviation and retired as a CW4 at Ft. Benning, GA. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Brunnet Parr and a daughter, Debbra Harper. Survivors include his daughter, Marylou Sullivan of Columbus, GA; son, Larry Joseph Parr (Kimberly Ann) of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Adrienne Eads (Joseph) of Atlanta, GA; great granddaughter, Chloe Eads of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Thelma Smith of New Orleans, LA and Muriel Rodrigue of Westwego, LA; and son-in-law, Tom Harper of Jasper, GA.
