More detail on this person: PHILBIN, MICHAEL PATRICK OBITUARIES San Diego Union-Tribune, The (CA) - Sunday, January 30, 2011 Nov. 28,1946 to Jan. 22, 2011 Mike was a mentor and a leader. Integrity was his guiding principle. He was the truest friend and a loving and devoted son, brother, Father, and Grampa. We shared an incredible marriage for 42 years. He fought a courageous, yet short, 64-day battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He died at home on a starlit Saturday night with his girls holding and loving him. He faced death as he faced life, with grace, purpose and dignity. Oh, won't we all miss that Irish Smile. The Philbin Family invites you to a Celebration of Mike's extraordinary life on Friday, February 4th, at 11:00 a.m. at his beloved Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum located directly across the street from 8604 Miramar Road, San Diego, CA.
