More detail on this person: Stuart Hal Phillips, age 71, at rest Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. Born July 10, 1943 in Crawfordsville, IN the son of the late Myron and Marguerite (nee Uhl) Phillips. Beloved husband of the late Joanna, loving father of Andrea (Joseph, III) Palmer and J. Vincent (Jennifer) Phillips, cherished grandfather of Joseph (J.P.) Louis Palmer, IV and Samuel Vincent Palmer. Hal graduated from Wabash College in 1966, served with the US Marine Corp for just over 4 years, where he was a helicopter pilot (CH-46) in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze star with valor among others. Hal retired from the Chicago Board of Trade, where he was a commodities trader. In his spare time he was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fisherman. Memorial visitation Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Hal's family will be hosting a Celebration of Life event at Cress Creek Country Club, 1215 Royal St. George Drive, Naperville, IL 60563 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. Please come and share your memories and stories of Hal. Casual attire.
