II, 54, of Largo, died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) at VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Cleveland, and came here several years ago. He retired from the Marine Corps as a captain. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a helicopter pilot and instructor with search and rescue operations. He received several medals and citations including a Purple Heart. Survivors include a son, Vincent J. III, Clearwater; a stepson, Jon Campbell, Minneapolis; a stepdaughter, Sonia Price, Seven Springs, N.C.; a brother, Mark Maley, Hudson, Ohio; two sisters, Gerry Strodbeck, Brooklyn, Ohio, and Pattie Giering, Garfield Heights, Ohio; and a granddaughter. International Mortuaries, Pinellas Park.
