More detail on this person: Ronald Stephen Popp, 62 Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (GA) - Thursday, November 11, 2004 COLUMBUS GA United States Ronald Stephen Popp February 24, 1942- November 10, 2004 COLUMBUS, GA Mr. Ronald Stephen Popp, 62, of Columbus died Wednesday, Nov. 10 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Macon Road Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 4 to 6 p.m. Mr. Popp was born February 24, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of the late Stephen E. Popp and Acea Plaso Popp. He had lived in Columbus for the past 30 years and was retired from the Muscogee County School System as a teacher. Mr. Popp was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jeffery Popp of Columbus; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jacqueline Popp of Atlanta; and two brothers, Stephen Popp of Freehold, N.J., and Ernest Popp of Greenville, S.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, Ga., 30368-2454.
